2016 Operation Poinsettia

Just a few of the staff at MWFB and SignPro that delivered over 1500 poinsettia plants to various nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the listening area today.  “Operation Poinsettia” has been a long standing tradition of WIZM and always puts a smile on quite a few faces.  Pictured are Gary, Emily and Corri

Divafest 2016

We do a lot of different events at MWFB.  But some of our best, are the ones that involve our entire team.  This past Friday night, we held DIVAFEST at the Radisson Hotel and ballroom.  (we probably took up more space than that)  Over 30 staff members got together to help pull it off.  It was all planned and executed by our air-talents, sales reps, support staff AND some very AWESOME clients of ours!  Thanks to everyone for making it a great night!

Proud Sponsor of Moon Tunes

BIG BIKES FOR LITTLE TIKES 2016

Big Bikes for Little Tikes 2016 goes in the record books for our coldest ride yet.  Thanks to all our 300+ friends and riders that came out to support Elliot and to those of you that made a direct donation to the cause.  We enjoyed a successful day riding for a reason.  Our Big Bikes child, Elliot Heller and his family were at registration, drove the entire 113 miles and joined us for the post ride party.  Great route, great stops, great party.  Thanks to all of our listeners, friends, partners and sponsors.  We appreciate your support and we’ll see you at Big Bikes 2017!

“Radio advertising was a mystery to me before I started advertising Designing Jewelers. Branding has allowed me to cut through the clutter and be a desti-nation. Even if I don’t get the customer to come in today, I see how building forward equity has helped me stay top-of-mind. The rest of my industry is flat or down, however, my sales continue to climb.”

–  Al Lewis, Designing Jewelers

“All those years in business and I was never convinced radio advertising could help me. The Mid-West Family Broadcasting Branding strategy of a consistent ad schedule and a unique message is helping make us THE place for your listeners to purchase tires or get their car repaired. Thanks for the opportunity to grow from Branding on one station to now three!”

–  Fred Lezpona , Fred’s Brake and Alignment

“They don’t just sell you ads, they sell a branding system. Before Branding with Mid-West Family, we averaged 4 clients per day. Now we’re averaging 20, and even more, on some days! We’ve been able to expand our Onalaska office – twice. We have purchased a second facility in Sparta, and a group home in Onalaska. Are things going well? ABSOLUTLEY! I cred-it Mid-West Family Broadcasting for taking the time to learn about our goals and helping us meet them.”

–  Amy Kepler, Coulee Region Adult Day Center

“The Mid-West Family Broadcasting Branding strategy is helping make us the place for your listeners to eat, drink, and meet their friends. Now we’re consistently busy seven days a week and sales are growing! Thank you!”

–  Dustin Nimtz, Blue Moon

“Owning a business is like tending a fire. You spend so much time worrying about it going out you never have time to make it grow. Chuck’s program is like gasoline. Use it, and pretty soon all you will be worrying about is growing too fast.”

–  Chris Doerfler, Badger Lawyer

A Night For Hope

About a month ago, we learned of an upcoming community event, “A Night For Hope”, being planned for February 29th.  Mid-West Family Broadcasting reached out to Al Bliss, Coordinator of the La Crosse County Heroin and Other Illicit Drug Task Force, to see if there was a way for us to help.  We spread the word on all of our radio stations about the free event for those that wanted to attend and were able to stream the event live from the Cargill Room on our website.

The evening started with a Family’s Journey from Addiction to Recovery.   This family speaks very candidly about the emotional, physical and financial toll that accompanied their son Tyler’s 11 year addiction and recovery.  Following, was a panel of law enforcement, health care professionals and educators that spoke about the epidemic facing our community.  The statistics are shocking.  They eloquently address current efforts in the community on prevention, treatment, addiction, law enforcement, medial efforts and more.

I highly recommend taking the time to watch this video of “A Night For Hope”.  It is extremely educational, shocking and inspiring. The first step in helping as a community, is learning what we are up against.

Thanks for your support.
