Energy, creativity, eagerness, and curiosity are key qualities for the next full-time reporter/anchor in the Mid-West Family Broadcasting radio group, an employee-owned company. Descriptive, attention-grabbing, and succinct writing skills are essential. The ideal candidate will possess a poised, conversational on-air delivery and the ability to work quickly and efficiently to create compelling and concise content for a group of six diverse stations.
Prior radio news experience would be great but more essential is a willingness to learn and grow.
Must be technologically proficient and able to maximize use of audio editing and on-air production software.
A premium on working independently to develop leads and create compelling enterprise reporting.
Creativity and multi-tasking a must.
Must be social media savvy or have the willingness to embrace social media for research and connection with our audience.
Flexible hours may be required to attend meetings, events or anchor early morning newscasts.
Work in compliance with company policies and maintain a professional public persona.
Strong ethical character.

Mid-West Family Broadcasting Sales Department is always accepting resumes for a position as an outside salesperson on our team. If you are the right fit for our company, we are ready to offer you a position with our company. Job duties include prospecting, sales, service and collections with new advertising customers. The successful candidate will have strong listening and presenting skills, advanced writing skills, superior relationship-building skills, and the ability to generate creative ideas for our customers. Outside sales experience is a plus. Midwest Family Broadcasting offers a strong program of initial training, followed by ongoing training and in-field coaching.
